The Maryland Holstein Association was excited to host a state sale the evening of July 11, 2022 after many years of not having one. The Maryland State Sale was a virtual experience held at Flood Zone Brewery in Union Bridge, MD. The event drew a large crowd as patrons were able to bid in person or bid online through Cowbuyer.com. The sale consisted of 56 lots total, 40 lots of cattle and 16 embryo lots.
The sale average of the night was $3500. The highest selling lot was Lot #1 First Choice Female King Doc x Jubilant sold by Peace & Plenty farms bringing in $19,500. First choice female from three pregnancies due September, 2022. Lot #1 was purchased by Joseph Osinga.
